Brass Silver-Coated Superfine Annapurna Devi Idol – 2.75 Inches

Annapurna Devi is known as the goddess of nourishment and abundance. She embodies the qualities of generosity, sustenance, and the provision of food, playing a vital role in both spiritual  and material aspects of life. Shiva once declared the world an illusion, causing Parvati, who embodies the sustenance of life, to disappear. Without her, the universe became barren, and famine ravaged the land. Witnessing the suffering, Parvati reappeared in Kashi (Varanasi) as Annapurna Devi and set up a kitchen, offering food to all beings, both divine and mortal. This act of selfless giving highlights the importance of nourishment and the divine role Annapurna plays in ensuring it.
